Soccer

I had a slight lapse in sanity and signed 3 kids up for soccer at the same time.  They all wanted to play so we went for it.  Holy cow what a busy few weeks we had! Soccer practice 3 days a week, then 3 games on Saturday. It made for some very busy Saturdays.  A few of the games overlapped a little bit so Trent and I had to split up who went to who's games.  And the weather....seriously CO weather is totally bipolar!  It would be nice and sunny then all the sudden raining and then hailing. Some days it was warm and other days it was freezing.

I waited till the very end to take pictures, and, unfortunately, didn't actually get pictures of Hunter playing. The weather was not on our side and a few of the games got cancelled because of the rain. Hunter's last game was a makeup game and they over scheduled the field.  So instead of playing his last game, Hunter's team had a little team party at the park.  Which, in my opinion, worked out for the best as most of the kids had no clue what was going on.  They all ran in a pack to the ball.  I was actually surprised that Hunter even wanted to play. He is usually a little more reserved, but he really enjoyed himself.

Hanna loved soccer!  They were all coed teams and she was unafraid to go in and get the ball.  She got in many good kicks and really enjoyed herself.

Carter was really good this year!  This is the first time he's played since he was 5 and he did really well.  He enjoyed playing goalie, and was decent at it too. Carter thinks he better than he is, (in all things!)  so it was really good for him to play with other kids who actually had more skills than he did. There were a few times when he was playing goalie that we had to remind him to stay in the goal box.  He wanted to run all around the field to get the ball.

Trent really loved watching the kids play, especially Carter as the kids his age are starting to really get some good skills.  He wandered the sidelines to yell out to Carter.  I was just glad when it was finally over.

Still can't believe that Hunter is old enough to play - that's craziness. So glad they are having fun and finding good things to do!
