October Fun

We had a super fun month filled with football games, birthdays, family visits, and Halloween fun.

We had Trent's dad and step-mom (and step-sister Kimberlee) over to celebrate Blair's birthday.  He is such a tease and the kids LOVE him!  Carter called and invited them to come down to watch his primary program and then we had a little birthday party before they had to head home to Idaho.

Then there was Hee Haw's.  This year we went with our good friends the Roberts for FHE.

First, catch a pig! Carter l.o.v.e.s this.  He talks about it all the time.  We like to go to Hee Haw's every year, and every years since he was 3 he's tried to catch a pig.  He got pretty close this year too.  He had to catch it long enough to give it a hug, he'd get his hands on it and then it would wiggle off.  He sure had fun trying!

After the pig races we headed over to the Trick of Treat hay ride.  A favorite of my kids for obvious reasons.
They got so much candy they didn't know what to do with it all!  At one point I didn't think Hanna was getting anything so I kept tossing some over to her, when we stood up I couldn't believe what she was hiding under her.

Trent took a week off of work, he recently got a new job up at the University of Utah hospital working in the surgical ICU.  He wasn't loving his other job so much so he'd been looking for a while for something else and is so very excited to do this.  So he took a week off and while he was off we went and did some fun things.  I made him to go IKEA with me, we went to St George to see my amazingly talented nieces in their school play "Fiddler on the Roof" and we went fishing.  I'm happy to report that I caught the first fish. :)  However I won't touch them, too slimy for me!  They were little, but it was still fun.  It was cold outside so we didn't stay long.

Oh, and we carved pumpkins. I let Trent do the dirty work, I have issues with slimy things :)

But best of all was Halloween!  Trick of Treating and a school parade.  What fun!
Maybe next year I'll remember to take pictures of their fronts too :)

Erin-- I use Picasa 3. It's a free download, I'm still trying to figure it out.
