We've had birthdays

Since Hanna and Hunter's birthdays are so close (4 days apart) we decided to have one big party.  Hanna really wanted to have a princess party and invite some friends over, but I just never got around to getting it all put together.  Besides, when I asked her who she wanted to come she said, "just Kennedy" (a cousin).  So having a family party was an easy choice.  We had my family over, and who could come of Trent's family, as well as a friend or two.  It was a fun evening filled with pizza, cake, ice cream, presents, and fun. (all squashed into our house that wasn't made for hosting parties...sorry, it was squishy)

Hanna was just a little excited as people started showing up! 

I love the tradition of giving baby their own cake on their first birthday, so I may have taken a few too many pictures of him...and he didn't even like it! 

It actually took him a long time to really get into his cake, he really doesn't like messy hands, he doesn't like wet things (feeding this kid is a real challenge, but that is a whole other post that I'll get too, sometime:)  And after only a few minutes he realized how messy his hands were and started to freak out.  He was screaming, wiping his hands on his tray and flinging his hands in the air trying to get the goop off, he didn't care how good it tasted, he was messy.  My sister started to feed him some ice cream and he long forgot about his messy hands.  He even signed more when she wasn't fast enough getting it into his mouth.

They both were spoiled rotten, but then, shouldn't you be on your birthday!  Thank you for all the wonderful gifts, the are truly loved by the two of them. (and some even by an older brother too:)

This one we shall call "the silly faces of Hanna"  and "Aunt Karina gives the best gifts"

Hunter got two boxes of tissues as a gift, cuz he loves to pull them out.  Best gift ever!  We just scoop the tissues up and put them in a gift bag and he has hours of fun with the tissues (as seen in the bottom pictures)
